Kingswood Camp’s Financial Assistance Program:

Who is eligible for financial assistance?

Families whose financial circumstances make them unable to pay the full fee for their children’s camping program.

How is it determined how much I will pay?

Everyone must pay some portion of the required camper fees. Families are expected to contribute at the very least, the $50 deposit. Each family will contribute as much as they can afford, and try to find additional sponsorship money from other sources such as those listed below. We will only contribute to 1 week of camp per child in one summer camping season. The application will be reviewed and the amount granted will vary. Kingswood Camp reserves the right to deny Financial Assistance based on the level of contributed support. Monies the Camp uses for Financial Assistance are dependent upon donations from individuals, churches, and businesses, and is limited. Our wish is to serve as many campers as possible and we will do our best to confirm or deny assistance as soon as possible, or not less than one week before the chosen camp. If the allocation does not meet your needs and you are unable to send your child to camp, your deposit will be refunded to you.

Other Possible Sources of Financial Assistance campers have used in the past:

  • Community Groups (Lions Clubs, Kinsman and Kinetttes, Rotary Club)

  • Elementary and Junior High Schools

  • “JumpStart” through Canadian Tire (they will cover up to $300)

  • Municipal Recreation Departments

  • Community Services/Family and Children’s Services

To apply for financial assistance, please complete this form. Make sure that the camper(s) you are seeking financial assistance for are already registered for camp. Kingswood will only help with financial assistance for one week of camp per child per summer. Applications must be completed in full and must be received by the camp at least two weeks before the registered camp (unless other arrangements have been made)
