Hurricane Earl: We're expecting quite the storm this weekend.  There are a number of things that need to be done in order to prepare the Camp for the storm, including moving the things inside and making sure everything else is tied down.  If at all possible, we need you to come out to Camp tomorrow afternoon (Friday, Sept. 3) to help.  We hope to be there by 1:00pm.  The more hands, the quicker we can get this done and have the Camp protected.  Thanks.

Family Work Camp

Family Work CampSunday, August 29 to Wednesday, September 1

Bring the whole family along for a fantastic end-of-summer camping experience: Family Work Camp!

WHAT’S A WORK CAMP?

Besides experiencing all the activities that normally take place at a Kingswood Camp, we will be spending 3-4 hours per day doing various work projects around the camp to clean up from a busy summer camping season, to prepare for future site developments and to undertake some much needed maintenance to our existing facilities.  There will be a job for each ability from cleaning, to painting to shingling to shovelling.  We will also be including plenty of time to relax and enjoy the camp facilities.  There will be a morning and evening worship time and evening vespers with a special speaker focusing on our Revolution theme.

COST?

  • $30 per adult/teen
  • $15 per child (12 and under)
  • $100 maximum per family

WHAT’S INCLUDED?

  • Bunk space in either an indoor or outdoor cabin, or bring along your own tent or trailer (sorry, no hook-up services are available)
  • Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner + Campfire Snacks
  • A chance for the whole family to enjoy a fantastic outdoor camping experience
  • Programming for children, teens and adult as well as combined family activities that include; canoeing, archery, field games, soccer, water and beach activities, swimming, ropes course, nature walks and much more
