Privacy Policy
(Adapted from Camp Peniel; adopted March 8, 2007)
- Personal Information is collected in order to safely and adequately carry out the programs and services which Kingswood Camp offers. All personal information which is collected concerning those under the age of majority will be sought from a parent, legal guardian or some other family member, except in the case where necessary information may be found from publicly available sources.
- Information may be collected from individuals through submitted forms, from publicly available sources, or in person.
- All personal information which is collected will be for internal use only, not withstanding the following two exceptions:
- except where medical services need to be administered
- except where it is shared with a signed promise of confidentiality, with local pastors and/or church designates. (If a person is under the age of majority, information may be shared with family members unless the legal parent/guardian has indicated otherwise in writing beforehand.)
- Only those persons who are directly involved with the Camp and its operation (or those deemed by Kingswood Camp to have proper authorization) will have valid access to collected information.
- No collected information will be sold to, rented to, or shared with any other persons or organizations. All computer files containing personal information will be password protected and all hard copy documents will be stored in a locked cabinet (on site or in the off-season office space).
- All personal information kept on file will be made available to that individual upon request within a reasonable time frame.
- The Executive Director, under the auspices of the Kingswood Camp Committee, is responsible for this policy.
- If there is a complaint regarding any privacy issue, the following method of action will be required:
- The Executive Director will attempt to resolve the issue. All complaints should be submitted in written form. All written complaints will be responded to in writing (via electronic or registered mail).
- When the Executive Director is unable to resolve the issue, the Kingswood Camp Committee will become a part of the mediation process. Submissions to the Kingswood Camp Committee for review should be submitted in writing, and if no resolve is found, the person will appear before the Kingswood Camp Committee in person.
- If the complaint is still not resolved, the person seeking resolve may contact the Executive of the Eastern Valley United Baptist Association (owners of the Camp) for action.
- If the complaint is still not resolved, the person seeking resolve will have the option of contacting a mutually agreed upon mediator.
